- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪I would recommend Dr. Lugo for a children's dentist in the area. The Marysville office is super clean and fun for kids. The Lake Stevens office is a big older/not much in the way of "fun" waiting room stuff and it is quite small. The staff is friendly at both offices. The first three years (6 appointments) I saw many different dentists. Now I know to ask for Dr. Lugo when scheduling (challenging, but worth it as they all work at different offices on different days). One of the dentists I had was pretty condescending and assumed things about my parenting that I didn't appreciate during our two checkup appointments. If you're a dentist focused only on teeth I understand where you are coming from, but when you are a mom life is full of a million choices and priorities. That being said, we saw that same dentist in an emergent situation and they were wonderful, kind, and very competent so I appreciate that very much. I appreciate how good Dr. Lugo is with the kids and also that he can talk to grown ups (sometimes a difficult combination to find). He is good about not "overtreating" and causing kiddo trauma/costing a million extra dollars. He is knowledgeable and doesn't get frustrated if I ask questions to help understand my options. He also takes state and NAVY insurance I believe (at least they used to), which is really quite gracious and most dentists won't, as they don't reimburse much for services. Overall I recommend Dr. Lugo and his staff to my friends and family needing a children's dentist.June 27, 2017by Melinda Woelfle
- ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪ ✪The kids love it! They always get great service and toys, so they love going. The staff is nice and friendly. I have always had easy smooth visits. Both kids look forward to going back. They love picking out a stuffed animal to share the time with and watch a movie while they get worked on. My son knocked out his tooth twice and they got him right in a fixed his tooth both times.
